When going over our tweets for ENC2135, group 4 found some very interesting characteristics shared between most everyone in our class. We were assigned to tweet out our favorite movie using the conventions of the platform, so there were plenty of tweets that used hashtags, pictures and gifs. Furthermore, most of these movies are either romance or comedy (perhaps even both), for example The Notebook; Joe Dirt; Crazy, Stupid, Love; Mean Girls; White Chicks; and Anchorman are all romances and comedies. There were some action movies too, like Captain America: Civil War and Pulp Fiction that appeared amongst the class. Also, many of these movies come form within the last 20 years, as our age group has grown up with most of these movies and probably find them more relatable or easily accessible. However, there were a couple outliers, like Rebel Without a Cause which is from the 50's and Love and Basketball which is the only movie within the group that has sports as a driving force throughout the film. It's interesting to find so many similarities amongst the people within our class, and to see that while we're all different we share similar tastes in film is amazing.
