My favorite song right now would be Pretend by the Bad Suns. I first heard this song last year when my friend who is a huge friend of the band introduced me to them. The song really caught my attention because of the story it tells and how it fits into the story of the whole album. The album goes through the experience of a break up with each song portraying an individual part. This song is about the part in a relationship when both parties know that things are headed south and the relationship may be too far gone to fix. Instead of just letting it go the singer is asking his partner to just "pretend" like things are how they used to be for one last night even if it is not going to change things in the long run. I would say that the audience would be anyone that is going through a rough patch or a breakup in their relationship or anyone who just likes alternative rock, like me. This song uses mostly pathos because it goes over how someone would feel when they are about to break up.
